Sakal launched the English edition of the bestselling book Ayurvediya Garbhasanskar, which is in Marathi. The English book titled Ayurvedic Garbha Sanskar, by Dr. Shri Balaji Tambe was unveiled by Amitab Bachchan and Balasaheb Thackeray at Novotel hotel, in Mumbai. The Marathi language edition has sold more than 135,000 copies till date.

Madhurangan Club –BHAJAN DINDI Contest – 20th July 2011

Agrowon- Sarpanch Mahaparishad


Agrowon, the Asia’s first and India’s only agriculture based daily published from SMG had its annual conference with over 1000 young Sarpanch  of Maharashtra in Aurangabad on 10th April, 2011. The Agrowon as a daily reaches to affluent and progressive farmers and decision makers from Agricultural sector of Maharashtra. So Agrowon created a platform through Sarpanch Mahaparishad for these 1000 Sarpanchs to discuss about the developmental areas for rural sector, use of advanced technology in agricultural sector. The event was inaugurated by Hon. Agriculture Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar and it was covered by various TV news channels.

Property Mahayatra 2011





Given the boom in real estate sector, SMG has created a special platform called Property Mahayatra. The event is actually the meeting ground for the property buyers, sellers and home loan companies. It covers five different cities of Maharashtra and Goa, and in each venue for three days.

A stage show for Madhurangan club members on 24th and 25th May in Pune and outskirts. The show was about generation gap, social and emotional development of youth from the age group of 20 to 30 and difficulties faced by them.
